How would you explain your business in one sentence to your grandmother?

WE PRODUCE THE ONLY TASTY WALNUT AND HAZELNUT OILS IN THE WORLD!!!

Where did the idea come from and what problem does it solve?

The idea arose precisely from our personal need and the shortage of quality and delicious vegetable fats on the market. We started producing oils for our families and friends and gradually turned this into a sustainable family business.

How did you form a team? How do you know each other, why did you decide to work together?

We have always believed that when something is done sustainable with love, the result is distinctive. Precisely because the whole team shares the same vision, we decided to join forces and make some exceptional gourmet products that we can be proud of and with the mission to contribute for the good health of our customers in an incredibly tasty way, without polluting the nature in the process!

Was there a moment that almost turned you down?

 Yes - the unfair competition offering low quality and unhealthy cheap products

The biggest mistake so far?

There is no mistakes, but we have learned many lessons, after making wrong decisions!

The most valuable advice you would give to those after you?

 Do what you love and never ever break your principles and beliefs!

How do you resemble the Bulgarians and how do you differ from them?

Dificult question, but I guess lack of believe in the system!

Why is Bulgaria a good (or bad) place to start a business?

Bad - Corruption and bureaucracy. Good - Low taxes and cheap labor, which gives the opportunity for good export!

If you have a magic wand, which partner or investor would you like to bring to the team?

Someone with the right sales channels for premium foods.

What are your goals? Where do you want to go from here on out? 

Expand our range of products and promote them as “Gourmet selection from the Balkans”, both here in Bulgaria and abroad. We believe that when there is a desire, there is always a way, and the way in 100% of cases means to have principles! We are convinced that these principles for uncompromising quality will be appreciated by more and more people, mostly because of the growing need for healthy and 100% real products with proven origin!

Did you know that 2 centuries ago, Bulgaria was producing more walnut oil than any other oil? Unfortunately, over the years, the industry has modernized and seen an opportunity for capitalization, through huge sunflower processing plants and refineries. In this way, Walnut oil loses its popularity and disappears due to the high price compared to sunflower. 200 years later, we manage to revive this vanished tradition and gently provoke the senses, with the superb and divine taste of fresh Walnut & Hazelnut Oil, as it once was. The only difference is that then it was made from roasted nuts to extract as much oil as possible, and we now make it from 100% RAW NUTS, because this preserves all the nutrients and RAW is much healthier. Our special technology is manual cold pressing of RAW nuts and seeds in a unique OAK PRESS. The technology for the oil is unique and contributes to 100% preservation of the useful Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids and Vitamins (A, E, C) in the oil, because it is not heated (up to 21oC) and has no contact with metal. This is very important, because in conventional presses, the final product is very oxidized and most of the useful substances are destroyed by the metal and the high temperature. Thanks to the technology we used, our oils have an acidity of <0.1%, and as we know, the low acidity is an excellent antioxidant and a guarantee for a high-quality premium product. We believe that this technology puts us in the green circular economy, because we do not use any electricity for our machines, all the production is completely manual and we do not pollute the environment in any way, because we have no waste from the production. Everything is utilized. From the pressed organic nuts and seeds through manual grinding, we produce healthy Organic Gluten-free Flours, with a high content of Vegan Protein.
