How would you explain your business in one sentence to your grandmother?

Imagine if businesses were like flowers in a garden. We help them bloom online by designing lovely websites and being a proactive partner, guiding them to showcase their beauty and ensuring they thrive in the digital world!

Where did the idea come from and what problem does it solve?

EVLabs was founded in 2021 by a select group of passionate problem-solvers, fostering a team built on collaboration, proactive development, and a people-centric environment.

We help small and growing companies navigate the digital landscape by turning resistance into innovation, simplifying complex technology changes and guiding them with expert knowledge.

How did you form a team? How do you know each other, why did you decide to work together?

The idea originated from our CTO, Tsvetan Himchev, whom I’ve known since high school. Our other two co-founders are brothers, with whom we've previously had the privilege of working. The rest of our team is made up of trusted colleagues from past projects.

We don’t have any public job listings because we rely on recommendations or bring on people we’ve successfully worked with before. I believe this is the best way to build a strong, resilient team that can truly stick together.

Was there a moment that almost turned you down?

Over the past four years, we've faced many challenges while working together. Yet, not once did we doubt our commitment to pursuing our passion. Every setback has only made us stronger, more experienced, and even more eager for new opportunities.

The biggest mistake so far?

Time is our greatest asset. In the past, we spent too much of it building someone else's dream, which held us back from pursuing our own. Use your time wisely—invest it in achieving your own goals.

The most valuable advice you would give to those after you?

My favorite movie is Forrest Gump. He excelled in so many areas because he put his heart and 100% of his attention into every detail of his dream.

The best advice I can give to anyone aiming for success is to be like him: go to bed thinking about your goal and wake up with it on your mind. If you do that, there’s no way you won’t achieve it.

Why is Bulgaria a good (or bad) place to start a business?

Bulgaria offers a favorable environment for businesses with its low corporate tax rate, affordable operating costs, and access to the larger EU market. Additionally, the country boasts a skilled workforce, a growing startup ecosystem, and access to funding through EU grants and government incentives. However, challenges such as bureaucracy, corruption, and a smaller local market size are some of its shortcomings.

Bulgaria will always have a special place in my heart, no matter where I go. It has its strengths and its challenges, but we’re here to make it better for our children and the generations to come.

If you have a magic wand, which partner or investor would you like to bring to the team?

I’d choose Elon Musk.

What are your goals? Where do you want to go from here on out?

Our goals are centered around fostering a global IT ecosystem where people-centricity drives innovation and mentorship.

We aim to empower businesses to leverage technology for lasting success, creating an environment where collaboration and shared knowledge flourish.

From here, we want to expand our reach, inspire more companies to embrace this culture, and ensure that every partnership we cultivate leads to transformative growth and impactful change in the digital landscape.

Why did you become part of the BESCO team?

We believe in the power of collaboration to create real change in the entrepreneurial landscape. We're thrilled to work with like-minded people who are committed to empowering innovators and making a tangible impact in Bulgaria. Our goal is to be the change we wish to see in the world, and BESCO gives us that platform. While others may say certain things can’t be changed, our mindset is that we have one life—and if not us, then who? If not now, then when?
